We take pride on doing everything possible to create the look you want and to choose the best products for your skin, so your makeup will last throughout your special day. Here are some tips to help you achieve a beautiful and long-lasting look…

Perfect Wedding Day Makeup Tips

  1. Don’t worry. Your makeup is set to last the day. The eye products are waterproof, but if you are going to cry, have a pretty handkerchief available to dab or press the tears dry so they will not run down you face.

  2. The only makeup products you may need to reapply is your lipstick or gloss, unless you are wearing our special long-lasting formula. There will be a lot of kissing, especially in the Receiving Line. Try to do “air kisses” so you don’t have lipstick marks on your cheeks.

  3. Try not to tan the day before your wedding day. Your skin can look blotchy and if you do burn, the makeup will not go on smoothly or evenly, and the redness will come through.

  4. For sensitive skin, try not to wax eyebrows or the lip area two days before the wedding. With waxing, sometimes they not only strip the hair but the skin as well. Not only can your skin appear red, but the eye makeup products may not adhere to the skin.

  5. It is not recommended to have a professional facial the day before the wedding. A good facial may draw out impurities, and the skin can appear blotchy and may break out. If anything, have a hydrating facial, especially in summertime, when you are tanning. Skin needs hydration to look smooth and less lined.

  6. Try to eat a small breakfast to start your day, so you are not more nervous or stressed. You especially want to eat and drink before the makeup application.

  7. If possible, get a good night’s sleep. Try not to drink too much alcohol the night before, because it will dehydrate your skin and can make your eyes puffy and red. You want to do everything possible to look the best you can on your special day.

  8. On the day of the wedding, just try to relax. Take a deep breath or two. Don’t sweat the small stuff. No matter what you have planned, no one else knows all of the special details of the wedding. It will go by so quickly, so just smile and enjoy all of the moments of the day.
